We strive to create a positive learning environment where children are treated equally.

Our programs are designed around working in collaboration with each family within our service.

Our Learning Philosophy
At Ladybugs believe that children learn through exploring, communicating, experimenting and investigating. Everything in their lives is a potential curriculum for children. While implementing program under the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) the children are engaged in a negotiated “emergent curriculum” where the educator involves the children in planning activities that are purposeful and meaningful to them.
All children have the best start in life to create a
better future for themselves and for the nation.
– The goal of the Early Years Learning Framework.
Our programs are designed around working in collaboration with each family within our service. We believe that children do their best learning when families and educators support each other and work towards the common goals of providing a foundation for scaffolding children’s learning. In learning the ‘emergent’ way children love to learn because their delight and spontaneous wonder will always be a part of their learning processes.

Fundamental to the our programme is a view of children’s lives as characterised by belonging, being and becoming.

From before birth children are connected to family, community, culture and place. Their earliest development and learning takes place through these relationships, particularly within families, who are children’s first and most influential educators. As children participate in everyday life, they develop interests and construct their own identities and understandings of the world.

Belonging

The basis for living a fulfilling life, Children feel they belong because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture and place.

Being

Living here and now. Childhood is a special time in life and children need time to just ‘be’ – time to play, try new things and have fun.

Becoming

The learning and development that young children experience. Children start to form their sense of identity from an early age, which shapes the type of adult they will become.

Our Aim

To provide a safe environment, leadership and expertise.
